Hello and Welcome to The Stampin Gumnut!

This is the closest I could get to a Quokka for a photo on Rottnest Island, WA when we visited in February, Sorcha kept wanting to run up and pat them so they kept running away!

Welcome to my new crafty blog centred on all things Stampin’ Up! related and thanks for stopping by! I’m Nerida, the creative mind behind The Stampin Gumnut. I hail from beautiful South West Victoria in the great Land Down Under where I live with my husband and our beautiful daughter. I love to travel and see the world but there’s no place I’d rather call home (although some warmer weather for more of the year would be nice – I’ve attempted to persuade my hubby that Perth, WA is the place to be climate wise but he doesn’t agree 😂). Check out the About Me page if you’d like to get to know me a bit more.

So why The Stampin Gumnut you ask?

I wanted to honour my Australian heritage with something that linked to my love of the bush while also linking to my love of creating with stamps. A lot of my friends call me Ned, so I got fixated on something bushranger related for a while (Ned Kelly anyone?) but the Stampin Bushranger just didn’t have the right ring to it. So I turned to my mum for help, who can be a better sounding board? She suggested something Snugglepot and Cuddlepie related. If you’re not familiar with iconic Australian children’s books you probably have no idea what I’m talking about. I recommend doing a Google search of May Gibbs’ Snugglepot and Cuddlepie. Either way, I loved those books about gumnut babies as a kid and so took inspiration from the gumnuts and the Stampin Gumnut was born.

Creating and Blogging with Stampin’ Up!

I’ve loved crafting with Stampin’ Up! products for years but have only just taken the plunge into the realm of being an Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator. I’ve also never blogged before, so please bear with me as I learn how to share my creations, tips and tutorials. I have some pretty awesome (if I do say so myself) creative ideas for using Stampin’ Up! products currently swirling around in my brain. I hope you have as much fun looking at them as I do creating them!

Be sure to check out www.stampinup.com.au for all of your Stampin’ Up! product needs. If you’re in Australia I’d love to be your demonstrator. Simply enter my name, Nerida Campbell, under Find a Demonstrator to shop with me. I can’t wait to see what beautiful crafty items you add to your carts!
